Coming Soon: Your Gateway to the NEB VET Label – The New Digital Self-Assessment Tool

We’re excited to share a major milestone in our journey within the implementation of NEB VET Label Project. Our team is currently developing a digital self-assessment tool – a user-friendly online platform designed to help VET providers reflect on their practices, evaluate their alignment with NEB values, and take the first steps toward earning the NEB VET Label.

What Is It All About?

This open-access digital tool will guide VET institutions through a structured, step-by-step self-assessment process based on the assessment framework developed under WP2. It’s not just about ticking boxes – it’s about inspiring real change by embedding the NEB principles of sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics into everyday educational practices.

The creation of the digital tool follows a clearly defined sequence of activities. The process begins with the design of the tool’s structure and user experience (UX). This phase is critical to ensure that the platform is intuitive, accessible, and capable of providing a seamless self-assessment journey for diverse users across the VET sector.

Following the UX design, the technical development and programming of the tool will be carried out. This stage focuses on embedding the assessment framework defined in WP2 into the tool’s logic, ensuring that all criteria and indicators are represented accurately and interactively.

The final phases involve review and testing. A series of trials with potential end-users and stakeholders will ensure that the tool operates smoothly, produces reliable results, and remains aligned with the NEB values of sustainability, inclusion, and aesthetics. Feedback collected during these trials will inform final refinements before the official launch.

Its primary function is to empower VET providers with a self-assessment mechanism. By answering structured questions and reviewing evidence of their practices, institutions will receive tailored feedback on their current alignment with NEB values. This feedback will highlight strengths, pinpoint areas for improvement, and offer pathways to achieve the NEB VET Label. Moreover, the tool’s open-access nature will encourage wider adoption across Europe, supporting VET providers of various sizes and capacities to engage with the NEB framework. Ultimately, this digital solution will act not only as an assessment mechanism but also as a learning and development tool, enabling organizations to embed sustainability, inclusiveness, and aesthetic innovation in their educational programs.

Stay tuned – we can’t wait to share the finished version with you soon!
