Competition

Following the completion of the NEB VET mapping framework, digital assessment tool and Guidebook, the project has entered its pilot competition phase. VET students from across Europe are now being recruited to participate and submit their innovative ideas and projects inspired by the values of the New European Bauhaus.

The competition will bring students and VET centres closer to the three core NEB values—sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics—while providing the partnership with valuable insights into the usability and effectiveness of the project’s tools and resources.

The main objectives of the competition are:

  • To organise a European pilot competition for VET students and centres;
  • To encourage students to develop creative solutions based on the principles of sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics;
  • To test the completed assessment framework and digital tool in real VET contexts;
  • To collect feedback from students, teachers and other end users;
  • To evaluate the relevance and effectiveness of the NEB VET Label criteria;
  • To identify possible improvements to the assessment framework, digital tool and Guidebook.

The pilot competition represents an important opportunity to evaluate the project outputs both qualitatively and quantitatively. At the same time, it will introduce students and VET centres to the New European Bauhaus approach, encouraging them to rethink their learning environments and practices and make them more sustainable, inclusive and beautiful.
