The NEB VET Label Final Conference will take place on 24 September 2026 in Rijeka, Croatia, hosted by DANTE. The event will offer an opportunity to present and discuss the main results of the project, explore the application of New European Bauhaus principles in vocational education and training, and look ahead to future initiatives and collaboration opportunities.
The NEB VET Label – New European Bauhaus Label for VET is an Erasmus+ project that aims to promote the values and working principles of the New European Bauhaus within VET centres. Building on the New European Bauhaus Compass, the project has developed a framework to assess VET centres according to NEB principles, while providing practical guidance to support their progress towards greater sustainability, inclusion and quality of learning environments.
From New European Bauhaus principles to practical tools for VET
The conference will begin with a session dedicated to the New European Bauhaus principles, focusing on sustainability, aesthetics and inclusion in vocational education and on the relevance of the NEB approach for the VET sector. This will be followed by an overview of the NEB VET Label project, including the lessons learned and recommendations developed through its implementation.
Among the main project results is the NEB VET Digital Tool and Guidebook. The digital tool is designed to provide VET institutions with an online self-assessment mechanism based on the project framework, while the personalised guidebook is intended to help VET providers bring their practices closer to the New European Bauhaus approach. Together, these resources aim to support VET institutions in improving sustainability, inclusion and aesthetics within their educational contexts.
A dedicated session during the conference will present the Digital Tool and Guidebook and explore how VET providers can use these resources in practice.
Giving visibility to students’ ideas
The programme will also place VET learners at the centre through the NEB VET Student Competition. The initiative invited students to propose practical and creative ideas for making their schools, learning environments and wider communities more sustainable, inclusive and inspiring. Proposals could address areas such as classrooms and workshops, outdoor spaces, digital learning tools, wellbeing initiatives and community projects.
During the Final Conference, selected winning ideas and innovative concepts developed by VET learners will be presented, providing a dedicated space for students to share their proposals and perspectives.
Looking ahead
The afternoon will focus on “Looking Ahead: From Project Results to Future Initiatives”. The session will address new ideas inspired by the competition, the role of the NEB VET Ambassadors, the sustainability of project results and opportunities for future collaboration.
The creation of a European ecosystem of VET centres promoting New European Bauhaus values and principles is one of the core ambitions of NEB VET Label. The project also seeks to support VET centres in assessing their practices, applying NEB values and becoming part of a wider network able to share and promote these approaches.
The conference will conclude with a Q&A session and the official closing of the event.
